SHERIDAN, WYOMING – June 18, 2025 – Dentsply Sirona has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to workplace diversity and equity by renewing its strategic partnership with Women in DSO® through 2025. The move reinforces the company's broader “BEYOND: Taking Action for a Brighter World” sustainability framework and its goal to foster inclusivity across the dental industry.
As a founding member of Women in DSO®, Dentsply Sirona continues to invest in mentorship programs, speaking platforms, and exclusive access to major industry events such as DS World. This renewed alliance highlights the company's sustained efforts to elevate women leaders in dental service organizations and shape a more inclusive industry landscape.
Advancing Diversity in a Changing Industry
The dental profession is undergoing a demographic shift, with women now making up more than 55% of U.S. dental school graduates and over 60% of the practicing dental workforce in Europe. Dentsply Sirona's SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer Andrea Frohning emphasized the importance of these changes, stating, “The renewal of this partnership reflects our steadfast dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and supporting an industry where everyone has equal opportunity to thrive.”
Dr. Aman Kaur, Founder and CEO of Women in DSO®, underscored the partnership’s impact: “Dentsply Sirona is an organization that walks the talk when it comes to efforts related to building equitable teams. It has been a joy to work with empowered leaders across this organization and they continue to be a key partner as we expand our mission globally.”
A Month of Inclusion-Driven Engagement
As part of its Inclusion Month campaign, Dentsply Sirona launched a range of internal initiatives aimed at educating and engaging employees across its global footprint. Activities included:
- Global conversations on cultural inclusion and identity.
- Interactive sessions with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
- A digital Inclusion Pledge Wall encouraging personal commitments to equity.
One of the program highlights was the “Global Conversation of Understanding” event, titled Inspiring Inclusion Across Cultures, led by Melanie Jenkins, Director of Global Inclusion & Engagement. The session brought together voices from across the organization to celebrate cultural diversity and foster a greater sense of belonging.
Employee Resource Groups Driving Connection and Performance
Currently, nine Employee Resource Groups are active within Dentsply Sirona, engaging over 4,100 employees worldwide. Frohning commented on the strategic value of these groups: “We have conducted an internal survey which has revealed the impact of these groups: employees that are engaged in ERGs consistently report higher levels of connection, engagement and satisfaction with their workplace. In other words: Employees who feel seen, heard and valued, become more engaged, can thrive and do their best work. These findings show once again how important inclusion and engagement are to both personal well-being and business success.”
Recognition for Broader Sustainability Leadership
Dentsply Sirona’s inclusion efforts are part of its broader ESG strategy, which recently earned the company recognition from Newsweek as one of “America’s Most Responsible Companies” for the fourth consecutive year. This distinction reflects the company’s commitment not only to workplace diversity, but also to improving access to oral healthcare globally and advancing sustainable dentistry.
A Global Example for Inclusive Leadership
In parallel with its Women in DSO® support, Dentsply Sirona maintains alliances with the National Dental Association and Paradigm for Parity®, reinforcing a multi-stakeholder approach to inclusion and equity across the profession.
As the dental sector evolves, Dentsply Sirona continues to lead with purpose, investing in people, culture, and community to shape a more inclusive and resilient future for dentistry.
