Paris – September 12, 2026 -- The 18th Biennale de Lyon – Contemporary Art will open two professional preview days on September 17 and 18, 2026, ahead of a public run spanning 11 venues and 120 artists through December 13, 2026.

Accreditation Deadline Falls September 16 for Two-Day Trade Preview

Artists, curators, gallerists, museum directors, collectors and cultural-sector professionals must apply for personal accreditation by September 16, 2026, to access exclusive viewings on the two trade days. Accredited visitors also gain entry to the opening reception at Les Grandes Locos on September 18 and to the first two public days, September 19 and 20.

120 Artists Display 400 Works Across 11 Lyon Venues Through December

Titled "Passer d'un rêve à l'autre / From One Dream to Another," the edition runs under artistic director Isabelle Bertolotti and guest curator Catherine Nichols. It opens to the public September 19 and closes December 13, 2026, spanning venues from macLYON and the Musée des Tissus to a metro station, a parking structure and a hotel. Les Grandes Locos, macLYON and the Musée des Tissus et des Arts décoratifs serve as the three anchor sites, addressing themes of production, inheritance and exchange drawn from Lyon's commercial history.

Presale Pass Priced at €20 Until Public Opening

The Biennale Pass is available for €20 during presale through September 18, rising to €25 for standard admission once the exhibition opens to the public.

Artprice Partners With Biennale, Releases Free AI Manuscript

Artprice by Artmarket and La Demeure du Chaos are partnering with the 18th Biennale de Lyon. Separately, Artprice founder Thierry Ehrmann has released "Dialogue Between a Thinker and AI," a free, 1,800-page manuscript exploring memory, art, humanism and artificial intelligence.
