82% of K-3 teachers report science of reading training, but only 52% say instruction reflects it
The disparity, cited from a Fordham Institute report, illustrates what the company calls the "knowing-doing gap" in literacy education. Research reported by the International Dyslexia Association found that without dedicated implementation teams, it takes 17 years on average to embed roughly half of a new initiative into routine classroom practice.
Toolkit equips districts with internal facilitators rather than external consultants
95 Principles to PracticeTM—Literacy includes facilitator training, professional learning community (PLC) presentation materials, educator resources, and leadership implementation support. The design allows districts to build internal literacy expertise and run sustained PLCs led by their own staff rather than relying on one-time external training sessions.

Program targets consistency across classrooms to protect prior training investments
The toolkit is structured to support four outcomes: bridging the science-to-practice gap, building internal facilitator leadership capacity, maintaining high-integrity instruction across classrooms, and monitoring implementation to protect districts' existing investments in science of reading professional learning.
95 Percent Group has expanded its foundational skills portfolio through recent acquisitions of TouchMath and All About Learning Press, extending its reach into homeschool and small private school markets alongside traditional district clients.
