The company's sodium-ion starter and start-stop batteries are already commercialized at scale in the aftermarket, with more than 100,000 units in circulation and sales in over 30 countries. Aeson Power says the batteries deliver instant starting power, fast charging and reliable cold-start performance while offering triple the service life of conventional lead-acid batteries in start-stop applications.
New auxiliary units target low-voltage backup power in EVs and commercial fleets
The newly showcased auxiliary sodium-ion batteries are designed to supply low-voltage backup and standby power to vehicle systems while the main engine is off or the vehicle is parked, targeting electric and commercial vehicle platforms.

Aeson Power partners with Xupai Group to enter the OEM first-fit market
Building on its aftermarket track record, Aeson Power is expanding into the OEM first-fit market through a partnership with Xupai Group, which brings more than 30 years of battery industry experience. The alliance combines battery R&D, battery management system (BMS) development, testing and systems integration to produce production-ready solutions for both EV auxiliary systems and start-stop systems in internal combustion vehicles. Aeson Power said interest generated at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 is accelerating this OEM push.
