Aeson Power's sodium-ion starter and start-stop batteries deliver instant starting power, fast charging and strong cold-start performance at lower weight, according to the company. The batteries operate across a wide temperature range and are engineered for a lifespan exceeding three times that of conventional lead-acid batteries in start-stop applications, positioning them as a direct aftermarket replacement.
Company extends sodium-ion technology to EV and commercial vehicle auxiliary power
Alongside its established starter battery line, Aeson Power is presenting sodium-ion auxiliary battery solutions for electric vehicles and commercial vehicles. These systems supply low-voltage auxiliary and backup power to vehicle electronics during parking and other periods when the main motor is inactive.

Xupai Group partnership targets OEM entry after aftermarket traction
Building on its aftermarket track record, Aeson Power is expanding into the OEM market with Xupai Group, drawing on more than 30 years of combined battery industry experience. The partnership combines expertise in battery R&D, battery management systems (BMS), testing and system integration to develop production-ready auxiliary power solutions for electric vehicles and start-stop systems for internal combustion engine vehicles. The companies say interest generated at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026 is accelerating this OEM push.
