Orem, Utah – September 16, 2026 -- Agilix Labs said its BusyBee AI assistant has now graded 6 million K-12 student submissions, returning roughly 150,000 hours of grading time to teachers, with monthly volume already running near 1 million submissions and a seventh million expected within weeks.
Written feedback rates nearly triple when BusyBee assists grading
Across more than 2.5 million submissions processed on the Buzz platform over the past two weeks, only 29% of assignments graded without BusyBee received a written comment from teachers. Of those graded with BusyBee's assistance, 84% received one. Agilix framed the gap as evidence that teachers already want to give feedback on every submission but lack the time to do so manually.
Teachers retain final approval on every AI-drafted grade
BusyBee operates inside the Buzz platform, reading a teacher's rubric and a student's work directly, then returning a draft comment and score. The system does not post grades autonomously; a teacher must approve, edit or discard each draft before it reaches a student. Brad Marshall, President and Chief Operating Officer of Agilix Labs, said the AI drafts while teachers own every word, with the freed-up hours redirected toward one-on-one time with students who need it most.
Amazon Bedrock deployment enables in-country data hosting for national school systems
BusyBee runs on Amazon Bedrock from Amazon Web Services, keeping student data inside AWS security and privacy controls. Buzz can be deployed in any AWS Region, including in-country hosting where a ministry of education requires it. Agilix Labs holds the AWS AI Software Certification and is an AWS ISV Accelerate member, with BusyBee available through AWS Marketplace.
Agilix cites scale across 200-plus countries as grading volume accelerates
Curt Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Agilix Labs, said school systems with hundreds of thousands of teachers are asking whether human review can still occur at scale for every AI-drafted grade. Agilix has delivered more than 55 million enrollments through its partners to students in more than 200 countries and territories, and Allen said the AWS infrastructure allows national-scale, in-country deployment. BusyBee is available to all Buzz platform customers and partners.
