Riyadh – September 03, 2026 -- AMD Instinct MI355X GPU-based AI infrastructure, networked on Cisco Silicon One technology, is now live in Saudi Arabia and serving HUMAIN customers in the Kingdom and beyond.
Production system pairs AMD Instinct GPUs with Cisco's AI-optimized network fabric
The deployment combines AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs with Cisco's N9000 Series platform, built on Cisco Silicon One and 800G optics. The fabric is designed for scale, low latency and operational resilience, allowing HUMAIN to offer GPU-as-a-service for both model training and inferencing.
Companies plan up to 250 MW of new capacity starting in 2027
AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN plan to add up to 250 MW of AI infrastructure powered by AMD Instinct MI400 Series GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD ROCm open software, alongside Cisco networking. Deployment is scheduled to begin in 2027, with capacity coming online in the second half of that year.
Joint venture targets 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030
The next phase builds on a previously announced joint venture between the three companies, which remains on track to deploy up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030, driven by customer demand.
AMD chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su said the companies are "building an open, high-performance AI platform that is serving customers today and will scale significantly in the coming years." HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin said the production milestone demonstrates the company's ability to build, operate and deliver advanced AI infrastructure at scale, citing rising demand for sovereign, high-performance AI infrastructure.
Platform targets governments, enterprises and developers with sovereign controls
The offering gives customers control over data residency, model customization, and deployment governance. AMD supplies the compute and open software layer, while Cisco's network architecture is designed for interoperability and centralized visibility as capacity scales, supporting AI systems aligned with local languages, regulatory requirements and national priorities.
