API International Cuts Delivery Times 75% With Indiana Expansion

Tualatin, Ore. – October 07, 2026 -- API International has completed a major expansion of its Greenfield, Indiana warehouse, boosting Midwest capacity by 75% and cutting delivery times to East Coast and Southern customers from as many as seven business days to as few as one business day.

Expansion lifts company-wide capacity 20% after year-long buildout

The project, approved by the city in July 2025 and completed in July 2026, expanded the company's existing Greenfield facility to meet rising demand for industrial piping components across the eastern and southern United States. The buildout increases API International's total warehouse and manufacturing capacity by 20% company-wide.

Shipment times to East Coast fall from 6-7 days to 1-3 days

Previously, many eastern shipments originated from the company's Tualatin, Oregon headquarters, producing transit times of six to seven business days. With inventory now positioned in Indiana, delivery times to East Coast and Southern customers have dropped to roughly one to three business days, cutting shipment times by half.

"API International is all about servicing and supporting our customers at any given time," said Abdi Afghan, VP of Operations at API International. "Customers can count on us to provide quality parts, dependable availability, and products that meet or exceed specifications."

New racking holds 60-70 additional containers, staffing rises 50%

The Greenfield facility added new racking systems capable of storing 60 to 70 additional containers of product, plus two new forklifts to support increased throughput. Job capacity at the site has grown 50%, with new hires including a Warehouse & Facility Supervisor, a Warehouse Operations Lead, and dedicated quality control staff mirroring the QC structure at the Tualatin location.

Facility targets growth in data centers, exhaust, waterworks and HVAC demand

Ric Henderson, VP of Sales at API International, said the expansion supports growing customer needs by shortening lead times and improving responsiveness. The company has also expanded its eastern sales presence to serve rising demand in silencer manufacturing, data center infrastructure, exhaust systems, waterworks and HVAC markets throughout the eastern United States.

The Greenfield site supports API International's primary AWWA C207/C228 and ANSI/ASME B16.5/B16.47 flange product lines, along with OEM fittings and custom-fabricated industrial pipe components. Customers in the South and East now have access to dedicated quality-control resources closer to their operations, reducing the need to route issues back to Oregon.

Company weighs additional U.S. stocking and production sites

API International said the Greenfield project is part of a broader manufacturing, logistics and distribution strategy, with additional U.S. stocking and production locations under consideration to support continued growth across the Eastern and Southern United States.
