atNorth Names Fredrik Jansson Senior Advisor After Health Exit

Stockholm – September 19, 2026 -- atNorth, the Nordic high-density colocation and built-to-suit data center provider, confirmed that Fredrik Jansson is stepping down from his role as Chief Strategy and Marketing & Communications Officer for health reasons and will transition to Senior Advisor.

Jansson exits operational duties but retains strategic ties to atNorth

Jansson will no longer hold day-to-day executive responsibilities but will continue advising the executive team and Board during a transition period. CEO Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson credited Jansson's strategic guidance and analytical rigor for strengthening key company decisions during his tenure.

atNorth commits donation to Systemic Sarcoidosis research

The company said it will make a donation to support research into Systemic Sarcoidosis, the rare disease affecting Jansson, in recognition of his contribution to the firm. CFO and Deputy CEO Eva Sóley Guðbjörnsdóttir said the gesture aims to advance understanding of the condition.

Leadership shift comes amid active Nordic infrastructure expansion

atNorth, headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland, currently operates seven data centers across the Nordics and has four mega sites under development in Kouvola, Finland; Ølgod, Denmark; Sollefteå, Sweden; and Haugaland, Norway, plus an additional metro site in development in Stockholm, Sweden.
