Its collaboration with MAHA combines chassis dynamometer hardware with scenario simulation for vehicle-in-the-loop validation of automated driving functions under repeatable road conditions.

ADAS calibration needs push wheel alignment equipment upgrades

Precise control of toe, camber, caster, and steering position is becoming critical for ADAS calibration and EV geometry. Hunter Engineering has expanded its WinAlign vehicle coverage and OEM specification data to accommodate growing vehicle configuration variety, while John Bean has developed integrated wheel alignment and ADAS calibration systems to boost workshop bay throughput. Demand is rising for 3D imaging aligners, automated measurement systems, and continuously updated vehicle databases across OEM service networks, dealerships, and independent workshops.

OEMs pour hundreds of millions into R&D validation centers

In December 2025, Geely invested $284 million in a Safety Center in Ningbo capable of conducting 27 different test types for intelligent and electrified vehicle safety, batteries, and ADAS. BMW has expanded its Shenyang R&D center with 19 low- and high-voltage test benches, pedestrian safety testing, electronic analysis, and extreme-temperature charging tests to support BEV development in China. Chroma ATE is expanding battery and power electronics test systems, NI is advancing PXI-based automated test architectures, and Keysight Technologies is strengthening EV and automotive Ethernet validation solutions.
