Bad Wildungen – September 15, 2026 -- The Bad Wildunger Fenstertage, a fixture conference for the window and facade construction industry, will move to the Wandelhalle Bad Wildungen for its 2026 edition on October 15-16, ending a multi-year run at the Holzfachschule Bad Wildungen site. Organizer Fachverband Leben Raum Gestaltung Hessen/Rheinland-Pfalz expects owners, executives and technical staff from window-building firms across Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz and nationwide Germany to attend.
New venue sits inside Europe's largest spa park
The Wandelhalle is located in the Bad Wildungen Kurpark, a roughly 50-hectare grounds cited as the largest spa park in Europe. The trade exhibition will run through the glazed Wandelgänge along the atrium and park, placing the lecture hall, catering and exhibition space in close proximity. Standing tables between booths and extended program breaks are built into the schedule to encourage networking among manufacturers, service providers and contractors. Parking is available directly at the Wandelhalle, and a Line 1 bus stop sits nearby.
Live podcast pairs technical and legal experts on defect disputes
Day one opens at 9:00 a.m. with an exhibition visit, followed by opening remarks from Stefan Höhn of the Fachverband and Marko Prentzel, chairman of the window and facade construction committee. Holger Dirks, editor-in-chief of trade publication GFF, delivers the welcome address. A live podcast featuring court-certified expert Peter Ertelt and attorney Hans-Michael Dimanski will examine common defect cases in windows and entry doors -- including leaking joints, deformation, functional failures and cosmetic complaints -- linking technical assessment with legal questions on remediation, price reduction and supply-chain recourse.
Sessions cover AI adoption, digital product passports and machinery liquidation
Martin Harder of GEZE will address pivot doors and updates to DIN 18040 on barrier-free construction. Stefan Höchsmann, managing director of Höchsmann Maschinen, will cover pitfalls in liquidating machinery inventories when a business closes. Lara Santjer of Forterro will assess the realistic role of artificial intelligence in trade businesses. Jürgen Huber of BISS ID and Martin Stöger of Remmers will present ID4WIN, an industry solution for digital product passports required under the new EU Construction Products Regulation; Stöger will also cover DIN 68800 wood protection standards. Additional sessions address succession planning, managing director liability, and energy-efficient renovation from an energy consultant's perspective. Networking evening moves to Italian theme at nearby hotel
The evening of October 15 features the traditional Handwerkerabend networking event at the Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen, a short walk from the Wandelhalle. This year's theme, "alla Italiana," includes Italian food and live music from the band Wild2Night, with the hall layout redesigned to support more casual interaction.

Participation costs EUR 255 for guild-association members, EUR 235 for a second attendee from the same guild business, and EUR 320 for non-members, all plus VAT.
