SHERIDAN, WYOMING -- June 7, 2026 -- Messe München will stage bauma Shanghai 2026 across two Pudong venues simultaneously, marking the first time the construction machinery trade fair has operated in a "one show, two venues" format. The Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center runs from 23 to 26 November 2026, while the Shanghai New International Expo Centre operates from 24 to 27 November. Both sites run under a unified exhibition concept and product portfolio spanning construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles. Komatsu, LiuGong and Sunward Intelligent are among the confirmed exhibitors, with booth applications from domestic and international companies described as having exceeded advance expectations.
SWEECC Opens on 23 November, SNIEC Follows the Next Day, Both Closing by 27 November
The two venues run on slightly offset schedules within a five-day window. SWEECC leads with a four-day run from 23 to 26 November. SNIEC opens on 24 November and closes on 27 November, creating a three-day overlap period during which both venues operate simultaneously. A single badge covers both sites, and complimentary shuttle buses will connect the two locations throughout the event.
China's Construction Machinery Revenue Rose 10.5% in 2025, Feeding Strong Exhibitor Demand
The format change follows a period of sector-level growth in China. According to the China Construction Machinery Association, key enterprises in the sector recorded a 10.5 percent year-on-year revenue increase in 2025. Growth continued at 8.44 percent in the first quarter of 2026. That momentum has translated directly into pre-event demand, with booth applications from both domestic and international companies running ahead of organiser expectations.
Stefan Rummel, chief executive officer of Messe München, described the rationale behind the expansion:
"The expansion to two venues marks a defining milestone for Bauma Shanghai. Beyond increasing scale, the new venue creates a dedicated platform for next-generation construction solutions – bringing together global innovators, accelerating knowledge exchange, and actively shaping the future of the industry."
SWEECC Carries Zones for New Energy, Intelligent Equipment and Digital Solutions, Plus an Inaugural Conference
SWEECC will host dedicated exhibition areas across three technology themes: new energy, intelligent equipment and digital solutions. Live demonstration areas, high-level forums and industry networking events round out the programme at that venue. On 23 November, SWEECC opens with the inaugural Bauma Shanghai 2026 Construction Machinery Technology & Innovation Conference, co-organised with the China Construction Machinery Association. Su Zimeng, chairman of the China Construction Machinery Association, identified the sector's trajectory toward electrification, intelligent development and cross-industry integration as the strategic context behind the fair's expansion.
One Badge, Shuttle Services and AI Navigation Link Both Venues for Visitors
Movement between the two sites will be supported by a set of access and logistics measures. The "one badge, two venues" policy lets attendees enter both locations on a single credential. Complimentary shuttles will run between SWEECC and SNIEC throughout the event, complemented by enhanced metro guidance and on-site wayfinding. A WeChat Mini Program and an AI customer service function will help visitors plan and adjust routes between venues.
Trade Buyer Delegations Targeted From Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas
Visitor promotion for bauma Shanghai 2026 covers both domestic and international audiences. Trade buyer delegations are being targeted from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Domestic outreach will extend across the upstream and downstream construction machinery supply chain. Evan Sha, president China and chief executive officer of Messe Muenchen Shanghai, described the dual-venue model as building a comprehensive ecosystem platform designed to strengthen global collaboration across the entire construction machinery value chain.
