Beijing – October 14, 2026 -- The Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2026 will unveil more than 100 outcomes on standards, platforms and open cooperation during October 19-22 in Beijing.

Chinese financial authorities will also release a series of policies on financial reform and development at the event, said Zeng Linfeng, acting head of Xicheng District in Beijing, at a news briefing on Monday.

Conference adds insurance and investment meetings to its agenda

This year's program includes one main forum, several parallel forums and three thematic meetings on fintech, insurance and investment, plus other supporting activities. The insurance and investment meetings are new compared with past sessions. Zeng said they are likely to further reinforce the role of finance in serving the real economy.

African sub-venue and three-city link make their debut

For the first time, the conference will hold events at an African sub-venue. It will also run a three-site live connection among Beijing, Hong Kong and London.

More than 400 participants from over 40 countries and regions are expected

The conference theme is building an open, collaborative and inclusive ecosystem for global financial development. Participants will come from more than 40 countries and regions.

The Financial Street Forum was established in 2012 and is described as the "wind vane for China's financial reform and development." This year's conference is co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government, the People's Bank of China, the National Financial Regulatory Administration, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Xinhua News Agency and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
