Responsible AI Institute assesses Blackbaud AI against NIST, ISO/IEC and OWASP frameworks
The badges follow an independent assessment of Blackbaud's responsible AI practices. The review was aligned to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC standards and OWASP guidance for large language models.
Carrie Cobb, Blackbaud's chief data and AI officer, said "trust matters more than ever" as organizations weigh AI's opportunities and risks. She described the company's approach as built on transparency, practical safeguards and continuous improvement.
Blackbaud adds three customer-facing responsible AI resources for the social impact sector
The company has expanded its responsible AI materials in three areas:
- An updated Responsible AI webpage that explains how Blackbaud designs, builds and deploys AI solutions.
- Continued engagement with the AI Coalition for Social Impact, which Blackbaud convenes to advance shared learning and standards across the sector.
- The AI for Social Impact Certification, the coalition's flagship initiative, aimed at helping professionals build practical understanding of AI and its responsible use.
Chief product officer Sudip Datta said customers need confidence in how AI is built and used as adoption accelerates. He said Blackbaud intends to supply both the tools and the trust to support that.
Blackbaud said it will keep evolving its responsible AI practices and expand its resources, partnerships and validation efforts.
