Houston – – October 15, 2026 -- Bristow Group (NYSE: VTOL) has appointed Paul Armstrong as incoming Chief Operating Officer, Government Services, with a start date of February 22, 2027, to succeed retiring COO Alan Corbett.
Armstrong to join Bristow in February 2027 and work from the United Kingdom
Armstrong is expected to start after completing his current professional commitments. He will be based in the United Kingdom.
Corbett stays through March 2027 to run the handover
Corbett, who had previously announced his retirement, will remain with the company throughout the transition period, anticipated through March 2027. The overlap with Armstrong's start date is about five weeks. Bristow says the arrangement is meant to ensure continuity for customers, employees and other stakeholders.
Executive brings 20-plus years across aviation, aerospace and defense
Armstrong has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in aviation, aerospace, defense and government services. He has led international operations, government programs and commercial organizations across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. His experience includes serving government and defense customers in highly regulated environments, and spans operational leadership, commercial growth, strategic business development and government stakeholder engagement.
CEO Bradshaw calls Government Services a strategic growth platform
Bristow President and CEO Chris Bradshaw said the appointment followed a comprehensive international search. He described Government Services as "a strategic growth platform" for the company and said Armstrong's operational, commercial and government services experience will help build on Bristow's foundation of operational excellence.
Armstrong said he looks forward to leading the growing Government Services business and building on Bristow's reputation for safety, operational excellence and service.
Government Services is one of Bristow's three operating segments, alongside Offshore Energy Services and Other Services.
