BrowserStack Launches Real-Browser Load Testing for Holiday Peaks

Dublin – October 14, 2026 -- BrowserStack has made BrowserStack Load Testing generally available, letting teams run up to 1 million API virtual users and 1,000 browser virtual users per test to check web app performance before holiday and festive sales.

The product runs real browsers and API traffic in a single test. BrowserStack argues that server-only load tests no longer show the full picture, because modern web apps build much of each page inside the visitor's browser. A site can pass a server-side test while customers wait on a checkout page that will not load.

Platform combines frontend, backend and APM metrics in one view

Tests run across geographies on fully managed infrastructure. Teams see frontend, backend and application performance monitoring (APM) metrics in a single view to find where performance breaks under load.

Existing Playwright, Selenium, JMeter and k6 scripts convert without rewrites

Teams can turn existing Playwright, Selenium, JMeter and k6 scripts into load tests without rewriting them. They can also record new flows with a low-code recorder.

AI agents target root-cause analysis and NeoLoad and LoadRunner migration

AI agents pinpoint the root cause of a slowdown and migrate NeoLoad and LoadRunner tests. Natural language scripting and MCP support are listed as coming soon.

Co-founder and CEO Ritesh Arora said the company has run real browsers at scale for 15 years and built the product to show teams what customers actually see, rather than only whether servers respond.

BrowserStack Load Testing is available now, with a free start option for teams.
