Cadillac Racing Wins 2026 DHL Sustainable Endurance Award for Measurable Le Mans Operations Program

SHERIDAN, WYOMING -- June 25, 2026 -- Cadillac Racing has been named winner of the 2026 DHL Sustainable Endurance Award in the Hypercar category, a recognition presented by the FIA, ACO and DHL in connection with the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The award acknowledges a structured sustainability program spanning race logistics, hospitality, waste reduction, procurement and community engagement. Judges cited Cadillac Racing's submission as one of the most complete and measurable dossiers received in this year's competition, with every element tied directly to Le Mans race operations.

Sea Freight and Ground Transport Cut the Logistics Footprint

Cadillac Racing's handling of race logistics was among the strongest elements flagged by the jury. The team increased use of sea freight for Cadillac WTR equipment from 70 percent in 2025 to 90 percent in 2026. U.S.-based staff traveled by train between Paris and Le Mans. Road transport from the UK was used for the JOTA operation, and equipment was stored or sourced locally in Europe wherever feasible. Together, these choices cut the emissions profile of moving a full endurance racing operation across continents. It is the kind of measurable, logistical commitment that differs from headline-level pledges.

Hospitality Structure Reused; Energy Metering Establishes 2026 Baseline

On the hospitality side, Cadillac Racing reused its physical structure rather than building new. The team installed energy metering specifically to establish a consumption baseline for 2026 — a prerequisite for meaningful year-on-year comparison. LED lighting and efficient appliances were deployed throughout, alongside measures to reduce air conditioning demand. These are operational decisions with direct cost and carbon implications, not one-off showcase installations.

Catering Carbon Per Meal Down to 6.49 kg CO2e from 7.13 kg in 2024

Cadillac Racing redesigned its catering menu to reduce the average carbon impact per meal from 7.13 kg CO2e in 2024 to 6.49 kg CO2e in 2026. The changes included reduced beef use, expanded plant-based options and local sourcing. Surplus food was donated to Les Restos du Cœur. Tracking carbon per meal at this level of granularity — and achieving a reduction across a two-year span — gave the jury a concrete performance metric rather than a directional commitment.

Plastic Elimination Effort Accounted for 114.8 kg Saved and 4,000 Bottles Avoided

Cadillac Racing installed five BWT water stations and distributed 1,000 reusable bottles to fans. Single-use plastic was eliminated from hospitality operations. Water meters tracked consumption. The team estimated these measures saved 114.8 kg of plastic and 319.3 kg of CO2, and avoided approximately 4,000 plastic bottles across the event. Quantifying avoidance at that level of specificity was noted by the jury as evidence of a genuinely tracked program rather than an aspirational target.

Procurement Standards and Community Programs Rounded Out the Submission

Beyond environmental metrics, Cadillac Racing's submission covered responsible procurement referencing environmental and ethical standards, active support for women in motorsport and STEAM, and a community engagement project with Gaston Bachelard School in Le Mans. The jury treated these as meaningful components of the overall dossier rather than supplementary additions. Accepting the award on behalf of the team, Keely Bosn from Cadillac Racing addressed the collaborative nature of the effort:

"Thank you to the FIA, ACO and DHL for this award. On behalf of Cadillac Racing, we are extremely honored to receive the 2026 Sustainable Endurance Award."

"What makes this recognition special is that it celebrates work that happens behind the scenes. While endurance racing is about performance on track, it's also about continuous improvement in everything we do, including our commitment to the environment and the community."

"This award is a true team effort. Thank you to everyone across Cadillac Racing, Wayne Taylor Racing, JOTA, General Motors, our suppliers, and partners who helped make these initiatives a reality."

Award Covers All Operational Areas Required by FIA, ACO and DHL Criteria

The DHL Sustainable Endurance Award evaluates teams across logistics, hospitality, waste, procurement and community engagement. Cadillac Racing's submission addressed every category with documented actions linked to Le Mans operations. That breadth — combined with quantified outcomes in catering, plastics and freight — set the Hypercar category winner apart from competitors. The program was built and executed across Cadillac Racing, Wayne Taylor Racing, JOTA, General Motors, and a network of suppliers and partners.
