Düsseldorf, Germany – May 31, 2024 – Canon Europe showcased its comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge digital production print solutions and services at drupa 2024, held at Messe Düsseldorf from May 28th to June 7th. Under the banner of "The Power to Move," Canon underscored its commitment to partnering with print service providers (PSPs) and converters to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth in the printing industry.

Showcasing a Wide Array of Cutting-Edge Solutions:

Canon's expansive presence at drupa 2024 featured an impressive range of production print technologies, encompassing Canon PRISMA workflow solutions, inkjet and toner presses, web-fed and sheetfed presses, wide format printers, and digital label and packaging production solutions. The exhibition was strategically organized by industry segments to address the specific needs of commercial printers, publishers, promotional communicators, label and packaging producers, interior decor specialists, and in-house print operations.

Strategic Portfolio Expansion:

Canon unveiled several strategic additions to its portfolio, solidifying its position as a leader in digital production print. The varioPRINT iX1700, making its European debut, addresses the needs of high-volume production environments, catering to average monthly volumes ranging from 300,000 to 1.5 million A4 images. The varioPRESS iV7, a robust B2 sheetfed press, is set to redefine high-volume inkjet production, boasting a capacity of up to 4.5 million B2 images per month.

In the web-fed segment, Canon introduced the ProStream 2000 series and the ColorStream 8200. The ColorStream 8200, presented in collaboration with Hunkeler as an integrated book-block production solution, demonstrated the transformative power of automation in on-demand book production. The ProStream 2133 showcased its agility by producing a wide range of printed materials in variable formats.

Leading Innovation in Wide Format and Label & Packaging:

Canon highlighted its advancements in wide format printing, featuring the Arizona 2300 FLXflow flatbed printer, the new imagePROGRAF PRO and GP series printers, plotWAVE and colorWAVE T-series, and innovative enhancements for the Colorado M-series. Canon's commitment to the label and packaging market was evident through live demonstrations of various label and packaging applications, including the LabelStream LS2000 water-based digital label press.
