New York – – October 15, 2026 -- Catalyst Power Holdings LLC has launched Catalyst Power for Senior Living & Care, an energy service that finances, builds and operates onsite cogeneration for care communities with no upfront investment from operators.
Service targets five senior care facility types with combined heat and power
The offering covers independent living, assisted living, memory care, life plan communities and skilled nursing facility operators. It is anchored by Combined Heat and Power (CHP), which Catalyst Power says best matches the continuous heating, hot water and power demand of care communities. Solar and energy storage are available where a site and its load profile support them.
CEO Gabriel Phillips said these buildings run domestic hot water, laundry, heating and cooling around the clock, year-round, and often must hold ambient temperatures within strict ranges. He called that load profile "perfect for CHP."
Utilities' $18.6 billion in rate filings pressure operator margins
U.S. utilities filed for $18.6 billion in rate increases in the first half of 2026. Staffing mandates, labor costs and aging building systems are also pushing up operating expenses for senior living and care operators.
Catalyst Power is pitching energy as the one major cost operators can still address. The package pairs custom-priced power supply with onsite generation that the company finances, builds and operates.
Catalyst Power offers the service across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest
The Senior Living & Care solutions are available throughout the company's full-service area in those three regions.
