(Nasdaq: CLBT) said its cloud-based digital evidence management platform, Guardian, has completed an assessment under Australia's Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) at the PROTECTED classification level, clearing a key hurdle for adoption by Australian law enforcement, defense and national security agencies.
CyberCX, an ASD-approved assessor, conducted the independent review
The evaluation was carried out by CyberCX, an IRAP assessment body accredited by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD). The certification gives Australian agencies documented, independent evidence that Guardian can handle sensitive digital evidence workloads in the cloud without compromising security.
Agencies gain a path to move evidence off siloed on-premises systems
Guardian is designed to let investigators manage, review and collaborate on digital evidence while maintaining a documented chain of custody. Rising volumes of evidence from mobile devices, drones, cloud services and IoT sources have strained forensic labs, with siloed on-site infrastructure creating bottlenecks that delay evidence review and risk weakening chain-of-custody records.

He said the IRAP assessment removes the trade-off between speed and security for Australian agencies.
Cellebrite will support agency-level authorization processes
Cellebrite said it will assist each Australian organization in building its own internal authorization process, including security architecture documentation aligned with Information Security Manual (ISM) requirements, data handling and sovereignty controls, and auditability and traceability documentation for Guardian.
The company's use cases for evidence transferred under Guardian include phone data from child-disappearance cases, cloud-sourced imagery tied to border incidents, and documentation supporting counterterrorism investigations.
