Chainsight Hires Ex-Wavicle Exec Tom Lin to Lead Data & AI Unit

Chicago – October 29, 2026 -- Chainsight, an AI-native supply chain consulting firm, has appointed Tom Lin, a data and AI executive with more than 25 years of experience, as Managing Partner of Data & AI. The hire expands the firm's analytics and AI capabilities for manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

Lin most recently served as Senior Vice President of Consulting at Wavicle Data Solutions, which was acquired by Deloitte. There he led industry practices delivering data and AI solutions to manufacturing and distribution customers.

Lin will build Chainsight's Data & AI Practice around five service lines

The practice combines data strategy, engineering, governance, advanced analytics and AI enablement. Chainsight is prioritizing four supply chain applications: demand forecasting, inventory optimization, supplier intelligence and integrated business planning.

The offering is meant to link enterprise data initiatives to supply chain execution, a gap Chainsight describes as longstanding. The firm plans to pair industry-specific expertise with modern technology platforms to help clients establish trusted data foundations before adopting intelligent planning and decision-making tools.

Chainsight's CEO cites fragmented systems as the main barrier to AI value

Founder and CEO Santos Carrillo said supply chain leaders face pressure to extract value from AI but remain constrained by fragmented systems, inconsistent data and disconnected technology investments. He said Lin's record of turning data into business outcomes will help clients accelerate their data and AI transformations.

Lin said he joined because of the team's "real, hands-on supply chain expertise," which he intends to pair with modern data and AI capabilities.

The appointment is part of Chainsight's strategy to unite supply chain expertise, data engineering and AI-driven decision intelligence in one integrated offering. The firm's services span System Integration, Business Integration and Intelligence Integration.
