NEW YORK – September 16, 2026 -- Intrinsic Advanced Materials is widening commercial deployment of its CiCLO® fiber technology into home and hospitality textiles through new collaborations with ADVANSA and HeiQ Materials AG, ahead of a joint activation with Lonely Whale during NYC Climate Week on Sept. 21-22.
ADVANSA integrates CiCLO into its premium Suprelle fiberfill line
ADVANSA is launching Suprelle® fiberfill made with CiCLO fibers for bedding, home and hospitality applications, embedding the microplastic-persistence-reduction technology into an established fiberfill portfolio built around comfort attributes such as cooling, down-like feel, loft retention and moisture management. Jean-Christophe Rouyer, head of global business development at ADVANSA, said the addition lets customers differentiate Suprelle products without altering core fiberfill performance.
HeiQ partnership pairs CiCLO fibers with functional finishing technologies
Intrinsic Advanced Materials is collaborating with Swiss materials innovator HeiQ to combine CiCLO fibers with functional technologies covering cooling and thermal comfort, allergen reduction, odor control, freshness and faster drying. The combined offering targets bed linens, pillows, mattress protectors, mattress toppers, mattress ticking and apparel. Mike Abbott, executive vice president of advanced materials and general manager of HeiQ USA, said the pairing gives developers added flexibility to build performance features around CiCLO fibers.
CiCLO technology addresses microplastic fiber pollution through accelerated biodegradation pathways
CiCLO is a patented textile ingredient integrated into polyester and nylon fibers during manufacturing, creating pathways intended to accelerate biodegradation when synthetic microplastic fibers enter end-of-life environments containing moisture and microorganisms. Third-party laboratories test CiCLO fibers using ASTM and ISO methods. Microplastic fiber shedding from synthetic textiles is cited as one of the most prevalent forms of microplastic pollution.
CiCLO technology will feature in Lonely Whale's Fashion the Future activation at NYC Climate Week
The technology will appear within The Fashion Stream, an educational exhibit tracing textiles through upstream, production and downstream stages, positioned at the production stage to illustrate how fiber-level innovation can reduce microplastic persistence. The PlanetHAUS activation runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 21 and 22, open for drop-in visits.
