Four institutions co-host flagship dispute-resolution forum
The China High-level Dialogue on Maritime and Commercial Arbitration was jointly organized by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA). The summit served as the flagship event of the 14th China Arbitration Week, which ran 77 seminars across 40 cities in 10 countries and regions from September 15 to 21.

Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of UNCITRAL, noted the forum coincided with UNCITRAL's 60th anniversary and CIETAC's 70th anniversary. She credited CIETAC's engagement in UNCITRAL discussions on electronic arbitral awards and the use of artificial intelligence in arbitration proceedings.
Supreme People's Court pledges continued judicial support for arbitration
Gao Xiaoli, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court and Justice of the Second Rank, said Chinese courts have built an "arbitration-friendly" judicial environment through judicial interpretations, annual reports, and joint training programs for arbitrators and judges. She said courts would keep refining judicial review mechanisms to support arbitration's role in resolving international commercial disputes.
CIETAC releases 12 Belt and Road case studies spanning mining to energy infrastructure
CIETAC published its Belt and Road International Arbitration Typical Cases, a compilation of 12 representative disputes covering mining, rail transit, port trade, energy infrastructure, engineering projects, and award enforcement across multiple regions.
