Boise, Idaho – October 13, 2026 -- Clean Form Nutrition has become the first brand to earn NSF Certified for Sport® certification for a finished product containing NNB Nutrition's Pürest CreatineTM, adding a finished-product check to an ingredient already certified by Informed Choice and tested by two independent laboratories.
Eurofins tests find no quantifiable impurities in three Pürest Creatine lots
In comparative testing by Eurofins, three separate production lots of Pürest CreatineTM were evaluated alongside a premium creatine described as an industry purity benchmark. In all three lots, dicyandiamide (DCD), dihydrotriazine (DHT) and creatinine fell below the laboratory's limits of quantification.
The benchmark sample contained measurable levels of both DCD and creatinine. DHT stayed below the quantification limit in both products. Mérieux NutriSciences has also tested Pürest CreatineTM for creatine manufacturing impurities.
NSF certification targets cross-contamination risk in finished supplements
Creatine is permitted in competitive sport, but manufacturing, blending, packaging or handling can introduce impurities or prohibited substances. The NSF program evaluates finished products for substances banned by major sporting organizations, as well as applicable manufacturing quality and labeling requirements. The risk matters most to professional athletes and others subject to routine drug testing.
Informed Choice certification covers the raw ingredient before manufacturing
Pürest CreatineTM recently received Informed Choice certification, which screens ingredients and products for substances prohibited in sport. NNB Nutrition says it covers the raw material before it enters finished-product manufacturing.
Together, the four measures are Eurofins testing, Mérieux NutriSciences testing, Informed Choice certification and NSF Certified for Sport®. They address two separate issues: manufacturing impurities and prohibited-substance contamination.
NNB Nutrition expects competition among creatine makers to be increasingly decided by transparency, measurable purity and independent certification as the ingredient becomes more accessible and cheaper.
