Collective X Health Raises $3.2M to License Female-Data API

San Francisco – October 13, 2026 -- Collective X Health (CX), a women's health and performance intelligence platform, has emerged from stealth with an oversubscribed $3.2 million pre-seed round co-led by Council Capital and Anthemis Female Innovators Lab Fund.

SoGal Ventures, Emerson Collective, Muse Capital and Segal Ventures also participated. The platform is live, with Human Powered Health and Altra Running as founding customers licensing its women's health intelligence via API for health, performance and recovery insights.

CX targets a research gap in AI-driven health products

CX argues that AI models trained on historical clinical research default to male data. Women were not required in NIH-funded clinical trials until 1993. According to the company, leading AI models failed 60% of questions on a recent women's health benchmark.

Companies adding cycle tracking, hormonal insights and AI-assisted care lack a trusted evidence base to build on, CX says. CEO Lindsey Abramo noted that women are half the population, yet less than 9% of NIH funding reflects that.

Platform licenses a cited, auditable evidence layer through an API

CX converts peer-reviewed research and female-specific data into a structured, auditable intelligence layer. Unlike general-purpose AI, it cites its sources with every insight. Customers can use it as a product's entire women's health database or to validate an existing one.

Anthemis partner Elizabeth Davis described the edge as "a smarter foundation underneath the model," saying wearables and health platforms no longer need to solve the same research problem individually.

Research collective of 20-plus MDs and PhDs vets the data

CX's scientific backbone is its Research Lead Collective, headed by co-founder and Chief Research Officer Dr. Stacy Sims and more than 20 MDs and PhDs who hand-vet the research base and intelligence. Sims previously led sex-differences research at Stanford University and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.

Research Leads are eligible for a grant program launched with a $200,000 commitment from human performance company Momentous. The program targets the gender data gap in sports science and new women's health research.

Partnerships and pipeline reach more than 50 prospects

CX holds research and data partnerships with academic journals, Open Medicine Foundation, WildAI and Eternal. Its pipeline includes more than 50 prospective partners.

The company will use the funding to deepen research across every life stage and condition, expand its intelligence product, scale early enterprise demand and fund new women's health research.

Founders bring exit experience and media distribution

Abramo led commercial teams through two acquisitions, at POPSUGAR and Group Nine, then led World of Good Brands (Well+Good, LIVESTRONG) through its sale. Angelica Marden, a women's wellness media executive, is Chief Brand Officer. Advisors include Mel Strong of Next Ventures, Dorothy Kilroy of Oura, Anne Bradley of Honey Mirror and Amber Taylor of Les Mills.

Council Capital partner Rachel Tsui cited the team's combination of scientific rigor, product expertise and women's media distribution as the basis for CX becoming a foundational evidence provider.
