Comfrt's NIL Club Campaign Draws 2.3x Projected College Athletes

Atlanta – September 13, 2026 -- Apparel brand Comfrt attracted more than 2.3 times its projected number of college athlete participants in a recent marketing campaign run through NIL Club, the largest team-based NIL platform in college sports, reaching capacity faster than either company anticipated.

Athletes signed up faster than Comfrt or NIL Club forecast, filling the campaign ahead of schedule

Participating athletes selected a Comfrt hoodie and sweatpants set, produced an Instagram Reel depicting a real moment from their day, and received reimbursement for the apparel plus a 10 percent commission on every sale generated by their content.

NIL Club connects brands to 650,000-plus registered student-athletes across 2,000 schools

NIL Club, developed by YOKE, links brands with more than 650,000 registered student-athletes spanning 2,000-plus schools and 20,000-plus team communities. Comfrt used the platform to reach engaged college audiences through athlete-created content rather than paying for broad-based awareness campaigns.

Existing product familiarity drove faster-than-expected athlete sign-up

Many participating athletes already owned and wore Comfrt's combed-cotton, slightly weighted hoodies before the campaign launched, using the product on travel days and recovery days. Mick Assaf, CEO and Co-Founder of NIL Club, said the company did not need to convince athletes to wear Comfrt, but instead gave them a way to earn income for sharing a product already part of their routine.

Athletes received premium apparel, purchase reimbursement, and an ongoing commission structure converting everyday content into income. NIL Club members can access current brand opportunities through the NIL Club app.
