NEW YORK – October 29, 2026 -- Bloomberg launched BQuant Assistant, a conversational AI coding assistant that lets Bloomberg Terminal subscribers write Python code and query financial data across more than 22,000 fields using natural-language prompts. The tool is built into both BQuant Desktop and BQuant Enterprise.

BQuant Assistant generates BQL and PyBQL queries across all major asset classes

The assistant produces Bloomberg Query Language (BQL) and PyBQL queries covering equities, funds, fixed income, FX, commodities, indices and derivatives. The fields span reference, pricing, returns, derived analytics, fundamentals, valuations, sustainable finance data, risk metrics, estimates and economic data. It also writes code for screens and universes, and for visualizations using open source libraries such as Plotly and Jupyter Widgets.

Shanghai – September 11, 2026 -- The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has graduated Karmada, an open source engine that coordinates applications across multiple Kubernetes clusters, clouds, and regions without requiring changes to the applications themselves. The milestone was announced at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon + OpenInfra Summit + PyTorch Conference China 2026, where three foundations shared a single stage in China for the first time.

Karmada v1.19 advances scheduling for distributed AI training workloads

The release adds multi-component scheduling for distributed AI training jobs and promotes priority-based scheduling to Beta status, enabled by default, ensuring critical workloads are scheduled ahead of lower-priority tasks. Short for Kubernetes Armada, the project extends the standard Kubernetes API with centralized placement, propagation, failover, and multi-cluster autoscaling.
