Truecaller Closes $15 Million Acquisition of TextPlus
Stockholm – September 16, 2026 -- Truecaller AB has completed its acquisition of Los Angeles-based TextPlus Inc. for a purchase price valuing the target at USD 15.0 million on a cash- and debt-free basis. The transaction closed on September 10, 2026, with TextPlus consolidated into Truecaller's financials as of September 9.
Truecaller gains US foothold and VoIP capability through TextPlus deal
The acquisition expands Truecaller's presence in the United States and adds second-number and internet-based calling (VoIP) capabilities to its offering, moving the company toward a broader communications platform. Truecaller had first announced the agreement to acquire 100% of TextPlus shares on July 17, 2026.
