Toronto – September 16, 2026 -- iGan Partners, a Toronto-based venture capital firm focused on medical device, diagnostic, imaging, and digital health companies, disclosed a series of portfolio milestones, headlined by a development contract worth up to $70 million awarded to portfolio company Flosonics Medical.
Flosonics secures BARDA contract to extend ultrasound tech into trauma care
The contract, from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, includes approximately $15 million in initial funding. It supports FloPredict, an AI-enabled software enhancement to Flosonics' FDA-cleared FloPatch device, expanding the real-time ultrasound technology into trauma care and mass casualty response applications.
