Nfinite Hits 100 m/min in Recyclable Barrier Paper Breakthrough
Waterloo, Ontario – October 07, 2026 -- Nfinite has demonstrated continuous roll-to-roll production of its proprietary Atmospheric Pressure Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (AP-SALD) technology at speeds exceeding 100 meters per minute, a milestone the company says proves recyclable high-barrier paper packaging can now be manufactured at industrial scale.
Nfinite coats a 24-inch paper web over 100 meters at 100 m/min
At its pilot manufacturing facility in Waterloo, Ontario, Nfinite coated a continuous 24-inch-wide paper web for more than 100 meters while running its AP-SALD platform at 100 meters per minute. The company is now targeting continuous coating runs of thousands of meters by year-end, moving beyond the lab-scale limitations that have historically confined atomic layer deposition to semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
