Tuition assistance feeds Pioneer's treatment and reentry teams
Since 2024, 87% of Pioneer employees who received tuition assistance work in the organization's treatment and reentry services division. The education assistance program supports staff pursuing additional credentials and degrees, which the nonprofit says opens career advancement paths and adds capacity to meet rising demand for behavioral health services.
Pioneer is investing in existing staff because Washington faces a shortage of behavioral health professionals.
