London – September 12, 2026 -- Replit, the agentic software-building platform, opened its first office outside the United States this week in London's King's Cross Knowledge Quarter, marking the company's formal entry into international markets. London Mayor Sadiq Khan attended the opening ceremony, and the company said it will use the city as its hub for European operations.

Replit plans to double London headcount and investment within a year

The company, founded in 2016 and headquartered in San Francisco, said it expects to double both its workforce and its investment in London over the coming year as it expands globally alongside businesses of all sizes. Replit reports more than 60 million users worldwide and says its platform is used inside 85% of Fortune 500 companies.

The agentic software creation platform, which counts more than 60 million users worldwide and reaches 85% of the Fortune 500, marked the launch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Replit plans to double headcount and investment in the coming year

The San Francisco-based company said it expects to double its headcount and investment over the next 12 months as it scales operations with small businesses and enterprises across Europe. Founded in 2016, Replit has expanded its enterprise customer base in the region to include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Mercedes-Benz Group, TrustPilot and Hg, alongside existing U.S. clients such as Accenture, Visa and Zillow.
