Continuous Composites Opens 5,600 sq ft Engineering Site in Kent

Coeur d'Alene – October 19, 2026 -- Continuous Composites Inc. is opening a roughly 5,600-square-foot engineering facility in Kent, Washington, to advance its patented Continuous Fiber 3D Printing (CF3D) technology and work more closely with aerospace, defense and space customers across the Pacific Northwest.

Kent Valley site gives CF3D engineers access to an established aerospace supply base

The facility sits in the Kent Valley, which the company describes as one of the nation's most concentrated aerospace and advanced manufacturing corridors. It offers access to a skilled technical workforce and a network of aircraft, spacecraft, defense, materials and precision-manufacturing companies.

The Kent team will advance CF3D technology, develop high-temperature composite components, and collaborate with customers and industry partners.

CEO Steve Starner targets automated composite production for cost and performance gaps

Starner said the site puts engineers closer to organizations shaping aerospace and defense manufacturing. He said it will speed CF3D development and open new applications where automated composite manufacturing can address performance, cost and production challenges.

CF3D is an automated process that combines continuous fiber reinforcement with rapid-curing thermoset materials. It places continuous fibers along complex three-dimensional paths. According to the company, this allows manufacturers to consolidate assemblies, reduce weight, improve structural performance and automate production of advanced composite components.

Kent follows April move into a 17,000 sq ft Idaho headquarters

In April 2026, Continuous Composites moved into a new 17,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The move more than doubled its footprint to accommodate a growing team, an expanding program portfolio and rising demand for CF3D technology.

The company said the Kent engineering site, combined with the expanded Idaho operations, strengthens the infrastructure and technical capabilities behind its growth plans.

Details on hiring and the facility's opening timeline will be announced as plans are finalized.
