New York – October 15, 2026 -- CorelDRAW Graphics Suite's September 2026 Update makes its PowerTRACE bitmap-to-vector tool up to four times faster and adds Text-to-vector AI, a combination Better Business Advice has singled out for apparel and sign-making production workflows.
Text-to-vector AI generates editable graphics from prompts or existing artwork
The headline feature is available through the AI Generate docker or inspector. It creates editable, scalable vector graphics from text prompts or existing artwork, so the output is not a flattened image. Generated graphics can be refined inside CorelDRAW and placed into larger projects.
Three visual styles are named: Line art, Comic book and Icon. Results follow the document's color mode, which matters when artwork is prepared for specific production requirements.
For apparel, designers can generate motifs and decorative graphics as a starting point, then adjust nodes and shapes before production. Sign makers can use the same route for banners, displays, posters and other large-format work. Generating vectors from existing artwork also allows variations during client revision rounds without rebuilding each concept. Corel's Artist Intelligence approach keeps creative control with the designer.
PowerTRACE overhaul targets low-resolution customer files
The enhanced PowerTRACE workflow brings an updated interface, improved object structure and better color handling, plus performance of up to four times faster. AI-powered background removal is also included. Traced shapes stay editable.
Low-resolution logos, JPEG files and screenshots often cause delays for production teams. Apparel businesses can clean up customer artwork that arrives unprepared for print. Sign makers can convert small digital images into scalable graphics for larger banners or displays.
Production tools cover Pantone, separations and 1:1 scale
The suite includes color management, integrated Pantone Color Libraries, prepress tools, and color separations with soft proofing. It supports designing at 1:1 scale and handling large-format projects. Separations and soft proofing apply across screen printing, embroidery and direct-to-garment workflows. Curve and node editing lets designers adjust AI-generated or traced artwork for a given output method.
CorelDRAW Web gains DWG and DXF export and the desktop AI tools
Subscribers can upload system, brand and custom fonts for browser use. CorelDRAW Web opens and edits CDR files without replacing intended fonts. DWG and DXF export supports plotter, fabrication and other production processes. The release also adds automatic cloud saving and brings the desktop AI tools to the web version.
The update also includes stability and performance improvements for complex files.
