ARLINGTON, VA. -- September 01, 2026 -- Corvex, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOVE) said it will lift critical IT power capacity fivefold, from roughly 1.5 megawatts to approximately 8 megawatts by year-end 2026, backed by a $33 million private placement led by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Morgan Stanley and Oppenheimer & Co. The Arlington, Virginia-based AI infrastructure provider is doubling its existing Mid-Atlantic data center and standing up a second facility in the Midwest, with both sites expected ready for service in the fourth quarter of 2026. A right of first refusal on 12.5 additional megawatts at the Midwest site could push total capacity past 20 megawatts, a 13-fold jump from current levels.

Midwest and Mid-Atlantic Sites Add Roughly 3,000 GPUs

The Midwest deployment is expected to bring approximately 2,000 latest-generation GPUs online, with 1,000 more at the Mid-Atlantic site, Corvex said. Both clusters were built around published vendor reference architectures and will be offered as bare metal or through a managed Kubernetes orchestration layer. Corvex expects to begin generating revenue from the expanded capacity in the first quarter of 2027. Both facilities sit inside existing enterprise data centers with live utility power, which the company said shortens deployment timelines compared with greenfield construction.

Right of First Refusal Sets Path to a 20-Megawatt Midwest Buildout

Corvex holds a right of first refusal on an additional 12.5 megawatts of critical IT power at the Midwest site, targeted for service in the third quarter of 2027. The company said it will market that capacity to prospective customers and can design the buildout around specific customer needs. Corvex cautioned the expansion depends on capital availability, customer commitments, equipment delivery, utility energization and local permitting, with no assurance it will be pursued or completed.
