DoubleZero Edge Adds Kalshi Election Data as Midterm Betting Tops $133M

New York – September 15, 2026 -- DoubleZero Foundation has added Kalshi's Elections and Politics markets to its DoubleZero Edge platform, extending low-latency order book delivery beyond the sports and crypto contracts it already carries for institutional and automated traders.

Midterm prediction market volume already exceeds the full 2024 cycle

More than $133 million had traded on U.S. House and Senate race contracts across major platforms as of mid-August, surpassing total volume for the 2024 congressional cycle, according to DoubleZero. The 2026 midterms are set for November 3, and the company says volume tied to the election has continued to climb since that August tally.

Edge delivers full order book depth over a dedicated fiber connection

The new election feed includes Level 1 data (top of book and trades) and Level 2 depth-of-book data aggregated by price, covering Kalshi's election contracts through a single connection on DoubleZero's fiber network. Firms previously had to assemble book state themselves from API responses; DoubleZero now offers that data as a direct subscription that plugs into existing trading systems and analytics workflows.

Kalshi frames the data as a tool for pricing political risk

"Election markets give institutions a real-time, tradable view into how expectations shift as political events unfold," said Andy Ross, Head of Institutional at Kalshi. He said the integration gives firms a tool to price risk, manage exposure and adjust positions as expectations change.

DoubleZero says automated trading is driving demand for faster feeds

Austin Federa, co-founder of DoubleZero, said prediction markets are starting to face the same latency pressure long seen in traditional markets, particularly around elections. Firms already using Edge for Kalshi's sports and crypto perpetual futures data can access the new election and politics feeds through the same existing connection, without building separate infrastructure. DoubleZero noted a growing share of order flow on these markets is already automated, requiring machine-ready data delivery for both human and AI-driven trading systems.

Onboarding runs through an MCP server for automated feed discovery

DoubleZero Edge includes an MCP server that lets trading agents discover available feeds, request a connection, and troubleshoot issues without manual setup. Kalshi's election and politics order book data became available today through subscription to DoubleZero Edge.
