Burlingame, Calif. – October 19, 2026 -- Ember AI reported an 8% lift in net collection rates and a 57% reduction in predicted preventable denials in the inaugural Ember Revenue Integrity Index, an annual report based on performance data from its customer deployments.
The report also records 32% fewer preventable coding issues. Ember AI released it during Healthcare Quality Week.
Pre-submission analysis targets denials before claims go out
Ember AI's platform reviews every patient encounter before claim submission. It looks for documentation gaps, coding inconsistencies, reimbursement risks and payer requirements that could trigger denials or underpayments. The approach contrasts with traditional revenue cycle management, where teams often spend significant resources correcting problems after claims have been submitted.
Deployments show a 41% denial cut and $1.5 million in identified opportunities
One customer deployment achieved a 41% reduction in preventable denials. Another identified $1.5 million in revenue opportunities during its initial deployment. In a live deployment, Ember AI recovered more than 31% of payer-resolved claims.
In a validated appeal cohort, 100% of actionable claims that received a payer decision were successfully adjudicated. The platform also flags claims that are already paid, correctly adjudicated or no longer actionable, so teams can skip unnecessary follow-up.
Validated workflows cut coding costs per case by up to 80%
Validated workflows showed up to an 80% reduction in coding costs per case. In a live deployment, Ember AI saved more than 600 estimated staff hours, and 90% of cases were handled without human escalation.
Customer and CEO frame the results around visibility and capacity
Catherine Roman, Senior Director of Platinum Dermatology Partners, said better data and insights help her organization act proactively and identify ways to strengthen financial performance.
Charlene Wang, CEO and co-founder of Ember AI, said providers that spend time correcting preventable denials or chasing earned revenue lose capacity for other priorities.
Future editions will break out specialties and payer requirements
The Index is designed to track trends in revenue leakage, denial prevention, coding accuracy and reimbursement performance. Later editions will examine patterns across medical specialties, payer requirements and reimbursement challenges.
