Envalior Targets 800V DC Data Centers With Engineering Plastics

Dusseldorf – October 12, 2026 -- Envalior will present a materials toolkit for 800V DC data center infrastructure at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen, including a Stanyl® CR310 PA46 grade for switchgear arc chambers with a heat deflection temperature [HDT(A)] of 290°C, well above standard PA66. The show runs October 12 to 16, and the company's experts are at Hall B4, stand 4302.

Shift to 800V DC raises demands on arc quenching and connectors

Envalior argues that AI workloads are increasing power density and operating temperatures. Components in power paths and cooling systems must therefore handle higher voltages and thermal loads while protecting costly computing equipment. Martin Burg, Advanced Development Expert at Envalior, said the move to 800V DC requires materials with greater tracking resistance, heat resistance and dimensional stability at high temperatures.

Arcs are harder to interrupt in DC than in AC systems, which makes arc-quenching performance critical as data centers adopt DC architectures. Envalior pairs the Stanyl® CR310 PA46 arc chambers with switchgear enclosures made from ForTii® C11F PA4T PPA. The company says this grade keeps its mechanical properties at high temperatures and can be injection molded for faster production as data center buildouts scale.

Connector portfolio spans busbars, board-level and 800V DC applications

The connector range on display covers several parts of the power path:

  • Busbar connectors in Akulon® PA66, Pocan® PBT or XytronTM PPS.
  • Board-level connectors in TÜV-certified ForTii® T11 PPA.
  • 800V DC connectors in Pocan® PBT (CTI 600).
Xytron PPS and Stanyl PA46 target cooling system durability

For cooling, Envalior is showing fan blades and housings in XytronTM PPS, which it says offer higher heat resistance and greater dimensional stability. Ultrathin fan stator insulation in Stanyl® PA46 delivers higher torque density for more powerful cooling.

Liquid cooling components, from server-level cold plates to rack-level distribution, are also made from XytronTM PPS. The company cites high corrosion resistance and extremely low ion leaching, which preserve coolant conductivity and reduce maintenance requirements.

360 Innovation Services targets faster time-to-market for suppliers

Envalior is also promoting its 360 Innovation Services offering, which gives customers direct access to its experts from initial design through production optimization. The service combines materials science, testing, simulation, CAE modeling, AI-powered tools and sustainability consulting.

John Hsieh, Segment Innovation Manager Electronics, said components must be designed for rapid and reliable manufacturing given the pace of data center growth. He added that Envalior's localized production and R&D footprint lets customers align material properties and supply chains for each component. Customers can also use the company's Material Advisor, a set of digital tools for finding, selecting and evaluating materials.
