FARNBOROUGH – October 31, 2026 -- Eve Air Mobility (NYSE: EVEX; B3: EVEB31) and Swiss aviation company Moov have signed a Letter of Intent covering up to 30 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for advanced air mobility (AAM) projects in Cabo Verde and Europe.
Eve and Moov target five Cabo Verde locations for eVTOL services
The companies will evaluate sightseeing and shuttle services linking airports, ports and resorts. They will also assess regional mobility across São Vicente, Santo Antão, Sal, Praia and Boa Vista. Medical transport and infrastructure inspections are listed as additional potential use cases.
Tourist arrivals rose 16.5% to an estimated 1.18 million in 2024
The World Bank estimates Cabo Verde's tourist arrivals reached 1.18 million in 2024, up 16.5% year over year, which makes tourism one of the country's key economic drivers. Eve and Moov see eVTOLs as a complement to existing transport networks rather than a replacement. Recent airport modernization programs and public-private investments in transport, tourism and strategic infrastructure support the case, according to the release.
Eve CEO Johann Bordais cited tourism demand growth, geographic diversity and infrastructure investment momentum as reasons Cabo Verde is a market worth exploring.
Lugano-based Moov is building an Europe-Africa-Latin America network
Moov is incorporated in Switzerland and based in Lugano. It is developing the Atlantic Gateway, an intercontinental aviation network connecting Europe, Africa and Latin America. The company is also assessing how AAM technologies could support local connectivity and premium travel within that network.
Moov's founding and advisory team includes executives with experience at Azul, Modern Logistics, Swiss International Air Lines, Etihad Airways, FedEx and ASL Aviation Group. The company says its leadership has more than 150 years of combined business and aviation experience, including four airline and air cargo launches.
Moov Founder and CEO Captain Alvaro N. de Oliveira said the work with Eve explores how eVTOLs could fit the company's broader aviation vision for the mid-Atlantic. The release gives no delivery timelines, pricing or firm order commitments.
