Denver – October 28, 2026 -- EverPeak Insurance has appointed Patrick K. Daley, CPCU, a underwriter with more than 30 years of experience in large, complex and hard-to-place risks, as Chief Underwriting Officer. He will lead underwriting strategy and quality standards across all EverPeak lines of business.
Daley's first mandate targets workers' compensation and BOP
Daley's first priority is a new value proposition for EverPeak's Workers' Compensation Middle Market business, which has long relied on deep data analysis, technology and service. He will also lead the relaunch of Attune's Business Owner's Policy (BOP) product. He will cross-sell BOP and other products to EverPeak's workers' compensation customers.
EverPeak President Kathy Kranz said his expertise in complex and hard-to-place risk is "exactly what we need" as the company expands its offerings.
Daley re-underwrote three GuideOne books during 2022-2023 turnaround
Daley most recently served as Head of Glatfelter Underwriting Services at Glatfelter Insurance Group from 2024 to 2026. Before that, he was Chief Underwriting Officer at GuideOne Insurance from 2022 to 2023. There he led the re-underwriting of multiple portfolios, including the Property & Casualty E&S book, the Programs business and the Church business. According to the source, that work contributed to an investment by an outside organization that secured the company financially.
At The Hartford from 2017 to 2022, he was Head of Large Property, leading underwriting for some of the market's largest and most complex property exposures.
Zurich tenure spanned four leadership roles over ten years
From 2007 to 2017 at Zurich Insurance, Daley served as Head of Alternative Programs, Head of Property, Chief Underwriting Officer for Global Corporate, and Senior Vice President of Property. His early career included underwriting roles at Swiss Re, CNA Re, GE Insurance and Chubb.
Across these positions, he has set go-to-market line-of-business strategies, developed underwriting quality standards, optimized reinsurance strategies and managed catastrophe aggregations. He has also built pricing models, expanded the use of predictive analytics, established underwriting training programs and launched new products.
Daley holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation, an MBA from DePaul University's Kellstadt School of Business and a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University.
