Kissimmee – – October 14, 2026 -- Experience Kissimmee has launched Film Kissimmee, the official film commission for Osceola County, with more than 100 scouted filming locations ready for production companies, location managers and digital content creators.
Location scout documents 100+ sites across Osceola County
Experience Kissimmee hired a professional location scout with more than 20 years of experience to identify and document the sites. The locations are being added to an online directory powered by Reel-Scout, a location management platform. Filmmakers can use it to search available properties, review photography and access production-related information.
The portfolio covers natural waterways, cypress-lined wetlands, historic downtown streets, ranchlands, hospitality properties and modern innovation centers. It also includes vacation homes, from luxury estates and themed properties to contemporary residences and resort-style retreats.
Nick Floyd moves from video production to lead the commission
Floyd, Experience Kissimmee's Manager of Video Production, becomes Director of the Kissimmee Film Commission. He will oversee efforts to position Osceola County as a destination for film, television and commercial productions.
DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee, said Film Kissimmee creates "a direct connection between our community and an industry that can drive visitation."
Production spending targets hospitality and local service providers
Experience Kissimmee expects the commission to generate business for local companies. Crews on location typically need accommodations, dining, transportation, equipment rentals, supplies and support services. That spending would benefit hospitality operators and service providers and feed the organization's tourism-related economic impact goals.
Film Kissimmee plans database growth and producer tours across the U.S.
The commission will keep expanding its location database and develop educational resources for local partners. It will also coordinate familiarization tours for producers and location managers across the United States, giving them firsthand access to filming assets and introductions to local businesses and property owners.
