SHERIDAN, WYOMING – Jan. 10, 2025 – Food Africa and pacprocess MEA 2024, held in Cairo from December 3rd to 5th, have concluded with resounding success, setting new benchmarks for the food, beverage, processing, and packaging industries in the MEA region and Africa. The interpack alliance trade fairs attracted over 1,000 exhibitors from 35 countries and a record-breaking 31,000 visitors, solidifying their position as the premier industry events in the region.

Reducing food loss and waste was a key focus of the sustainability program at pacprocess MEA. The "Sustainability Design Award" recognized outstanding achievements in sustainable packaging, with MULTIVAC Sepp Haggenmüller taking home the Gold Award. The SAVE FOOD initiative, a collaborative effort by FAO, UNIDO, and WPO, further highlighted innovative approaches to global food security, culminating in the SAVE FOOD Project Competition award presented to Tomato Jos Farming and Processing.
