FormativGroup Buys Saige Consulting to Add AI, Data Engineering

White Plains – October 14, 2026 -- Rockbridge Growth Equity-backed FormativGroup has acquired Saige Consulting, an AI and technology consulting firm, to add AI implementation and software engineering capacity to its application and data architecture business. The announcement did not include financial terms.

FormativGroup combines application platforms with Saige's AI delivery

FormativGroup brings application platforms, workflow development and data architecture. Saige adds technology strategy, software development and AI implementation. The companies say the combined offer covers a client engagement from strategy through scalable delivery.

Saige works with public and private sector organizations on cloud, data, AI and workflow automation. It has experience embedding AI and automation in core business workflows, which the companies describe as moving clients from aspirational thinking to repeatable use cases.

FormativGroup CEO Gene Chao ties deal to existing solution designs

Chao said Saige's teams already work across the cloud platforms, data architectures and AI foundations that FormativGroup's solution designs depend on. He said Saige brings demonstrated experience in applied business technology and practical solutions that deliver economic results clients can measure.

Saige's Charles Hu cites scale as the reason for joining

Charles Hu, Managing Partner of Saige, said the firm was built to help leaders see what is possible with technology and turn it into reality. He said that joining FormativGroup gives Saige the scale and expertise to pursue that goal further.

Rockbridge Growth Equity backs the combination for long-term growth

Rockbridge manages more than $1.7 billion in assets across sectors including e-commerce and marketing services, financial services and fintech, tech-enabled products and services, and digital media. Partner Tony Pulice said the firm backs management teams building focused, well-run platforms. He said Saige adds engineering depth and a strong foothold in AI and technology consulting, and that Rockbridge expects the combination to support steady, long-term growth.
