Forum Mobility Opens First v4 MCS Chargers at Port of Long Beach

SAN FRANCISCO – November 06, 2026 -- Forum Mobility switched on two v4 Megawatt Charging Standard (MCS) chargers at FM Harbor, its flagship electric truck depot in the Port of Long Beach, and ran the first charge sessions for a customer's production-model Tesla Semi at a ribbon-cutting on November 5.

MCS chargers recover up to 60% of range in 30 minutes

The chargers are compatible with the production Tesla Semi. Forum Mobility says a 30-minute session restores up to 60% of range, so charging does not disrupt carrier operations.

CEO and co-founder Matt LeDucq said the company can fuel with electricity 40% cheaper than diesel. He called the two units the first of 30 MW of MCS chargers due online in the coming months.

Forum Mobility is building 30 MW more across four California depots

An additional 30 MW of charging infrastructure is under construction at four new depots: Rancho Dominguez, Ontario and two in Oakland, all in California.

The company is also developing its next tranche of depots in the Inland Empire and Central Valley, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Seattle/Tacoma and Chicago.

Customer base includes 25 contracted carriers and reservations for 330+ Tesla Semis

Forum Mobility counts 25 carriers with contracted capacity and customer reservations for more than 330 Tesla Semis. Total CCS and MCS charging online and under construction exceeds 40 MW.

Jim Gillis, President of the Pacific Division at IMC Logistics, said the partnership with Forum Mobility is delivering "lower costs, and lower emissions" through long-range electric trucks and ultra-fast charging.
