Hong Kong – October 13, 2026 -- Fosun International (HKEX: 00656) won five awards at The Asset Corporate Sustainability Leadership Awards 2026, moving up from Gold to the Platinum Award in the main category.
The Hong Kong-listed group also took four single-category prizes: Best in Disclosure & Transition, Best Initiative in Environmental Responsibility, Best Initiative in Social Responsibility and Best Sustainability Team. The Asset is an Asia-Pacific financial publication.
Fosun's MSCI ESG rating reaches AAA and its Hang Seng rating rises to AA+
Fosun's MSCI ESG Rating now stands at the highest tier, AAA. Its Hang Seng Sustainability Rating moved from AA- to AA+, and it joined the Hang Seng ESG 50 Index. It has been a constituent of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index for seven consecutive years.
Fosun was included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026 and ranked in the Top 1% of the China Edition for the third year running. Its FTSE Russell ESG score has stayed above the global industry average, and it has remained in the FTSE4Good Index Series for five consecutive years.
In 2026 the company released its fourth Climate Information Disclosures Report, a voluntary publication.
Atlantis Sanya has rescued 42 wild sea turtles and opened a 388-square-meter shelter
The Asset singled out the Sea Turtle Shelter at the Atlantis Sanya aquarium. The resort set up an aquatic wildlife rescue station in 2018. The shelter opened on 23 May and includes rehabilitation pools, an educational exhibition hall and breeding beaches.
On green building and tourism, 97% of Club Med's eligible resorts passed audits for Green Globe Certification in 2025. Atlantis Sanya, Taicang Alps Resort and Lijiang Club Med Resort hold LEED Gold Certification.
Fosun Pharma has supplied more than 460 million vials of artesunate for severe malaria
Fosun's innovative drugs are available in more than 90 countries and regions. In the first half of 2026, 20 indications of seven innovative drugs were approved domestically and internationally.
As of 30 June 2026, Fosun Pharma had cumulatively supplied more than 460 million vials of artesunate for injection worldwide. The company says this treated more than 92 million patients with severe malaria.
Rural Doctors program covers 78 counties and supports 25,000 physicians
The Asset cited the Fosun Foundation's Rural Doctors program, launched at the end of 2017, for its social impact. The program covers 78 counties in 16 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. It has supported 25,000 rural doctors and benefited 3 million rural families.
The foundation partnered with the Alibaba Foundation on an "AI Rural Doctor Assistant". The tool digitizes the Rural Doctors' Pocket Guide, a clinical reference compiled by experts. Doctors can query it by mobile phone or computer to support diagnosis and treatment.
Fosun ties ESG performance to executive and business-group leader assessments
ESG management performance is included in the assessments of executive directors, the Group's CEOs and the heads of each business group. Fosun runs global ESG networking workshops, ESG culture week activities and an ESG digital platform to share practices across member companies.
