Nashville, Tenn. – October 07, 2026 -- Foundation Group has combined its legacy Bookkeeping division with boutique accounting firm Nonprofit Suite to create Foundation Group Accounting Services, a single unit serving nonprofits from startup bookkeeping through complex financial reporting. Lora J. Lahoda, CPA, CGMA, has been named Vice President and General Manager of the new division, overseeing integration, staffing, and service delivery.
Two nonprofit accounting practices with decades of combined history now operate as one unit
Foundation Group's Bookkeeping division has supported small and mid-sized nonprofits for more than eight years, while Nonprofit Suite has served larger, more complex nonprofit organizations for over 20 years. The merger creates what the company calls a scalable continuum, allowing clients to move from basic bookkeeping to operational accounting and strategic advisory services without switching providers.
New division targets three service tiers for growing nonprofit organizations
Foundation Group Accounting Services will focus on GAAP-compliant bookkeeping, operational accounting and financial reporting for boards and leadership, and strategic financial support covering budgeting, audits, and grant or funder requirements. Core services carried over include monthly bank reconciliation, preparation of Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activities, and Statement of Cash Flow, and U.S.-based bookkeepers with nonprofit-specific expertise.
Expanded offerings add cost allocation, board-ready dashboards and interim CFO support
Building on Nonprofit Suite's model, the combined division now offers cost allocation by program or grant, monitoring of restricted fund releases, full financial reporting packages with budget-to-actual analysis, customized grant and funder invoicing, and interim CFO services. Greg McRay, president and founder of Foundation Group, said the combination allows the company to support organizations "from their earliest accounting needs through increasingly complex financial reporting and management requirements."
Services are available immediately to new and existing clients of both merged firms
Foundation Group Accounting Services is open to clients of both Foundation Group and Nonprofit Suite as of now, with organizations able to request consultations to determine support levels based on size and complexity. Lahoda, who has worked as an auditor, CFO, and consultant across the nonprofit sector, will lead growth strategy for the division going forward.
