FP Markets Secures Category 5 License from UAE's CMA

Limassol – – September 15, 2026 -- Global multi-asset broker FP Markets has obtained a Category 5 license from the United Arab Emirates' Capital Markets Authority (CMA), formerly the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), marking its formal entry into the UAE market.

FP Markets gains authorization to solicit clients across Dubai and the wider Emirates

The license, held by group entity FP Markets MENA Securities L.L.C. S.O.C., permits the broker to conduct marketing, promotional and client acquisition activities throughout Dubai and the UAE. The Australian-founded broker joins a growing list of brokers, fintechs and financial service providers establishing regulated bases in the UAE to build regional client rosters.

CMA license adds a fifth regulatory jurisdiction to FP Markets' global footprint

FP Markets already holds licenses from Australia's Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA), South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), and Kenya's Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The new UAE license establishes a direct regulatory relationship in the region on top of this existing multi-jurisdictional oversight.

Chief Marketing Officer frames the UAE license as part of a two-decade regulatory strategy

John Lewis, Chief Marketing Officer at FP Markets, said the CMA license reflects the company's long-term regulatory approach, noting that each additional license acquired over the past 20 years has built out a multi-regulator presence, with the UAE representing a logical next step for clients and partners seeking greater security and transparency.

FP Markets stated it will continue expanding regulatory coverage across markets while investing in trading infrastructure, technology and support functions to match its regulatory growth pace.
