Limassol – September 15, 2026 -- FP Markets, a multi-asset Forex and CFD broker founded in Australia, has obtained a Category 5 license from the United Arab Emirates' Capital Markets Authority (CMA), formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), extending its global regulatory footprint into one of the world's fastest-growing financial hubs.

The license permits FP Markets to conduct marketing, promotion and client acquisition activities in Dubai and across all seven Emirates. The UAE has drawn a growing number of brokers, fintech firms and financial service providers seeking to operate under a more robust regulatory framework as they expand regional client bases.
Broker cites 20-year regulatory expansion strategy behind UAE entry
John Lewis, Chief Marketing Officer at FP Markets, said the CMA license fits the firm's long-term regulatory approach, with each license obtained over two decades moving the broker closer to a multi-regulated global presence. He added that the UAE license translates into greater security, transparency and service quality for clients and partners.
New license adds to existing oversight from four other jurisdictions
FP Markets already holds licenses from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA), South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), and Kenya's Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The UAE approval strengthens direct regulatory ties within a market increasingly attractive to multi-jurisdictional trading firms.
FP Markets stated it will continue expanding regulatory coverage across markets alongside ongoing investment in trading infrastructure, technology and support functions.
