Momence, Illinois – September 08, 2026 -- FutureCeuticals, Inc. and Aura Scientific have settled a patent and trademark dispute over Aura's cognitive-health ingredient "NeuroRush," ending the product and replacing it with a new distribution partnership for FutureCeuticals' whole coffee cherry extract, sold as "CognatiQ" and "NeuroFactor."
Settlement terminates NeuroRush, validates FutureCeuticals' IP portfolio
The resolution confirms the validity of FutureCeuticals' intellectual property in the cognitive health ingredient category, according to J. Randal Wexler, the company's Vice President and General Counsel. Aura's NeuroRush ingredient will be discontinued as part of the agreement.
Aura begins transitioning customers to CognatiQ under new supply arrangement
Aura Scientific is now moving existing and prospective NeuroRush customers to CognatiQ, which the company says offers an equivalent replacement backed by FutureCeuticals' clinical research base. Kyle Seymour, Aura's head of product development, said the transition is already underway.
Companies frame settlement as launch of broader ingredient collaboration
Beyond the transition, the two companies plan to jointly pursue opportunities in clinically substantiated, highly differentiated ingredients for the wellness market. Wexler said Aura's logistics and product-development capabilities complement FutureCeuticals' focus on brands seeking ingredients with demonstrable health benefits. Seymour said Aura intends to concentrate on projects where its customer orientation pairs with FutureCeuticals' ingredient portfolio and scientific backing.
