Garg Group Extends Better Home & Finance Board Ouster Deadline to Sept. 18

NEW YORK – September 12, 2026 -- Vishal Garg, founder and former CEO of Better Home & Finance Holding Company, has pushed back the deadline for stockholders to submit written consents to remove five board members to September 18, 2026, citing the need to give recently notified shareholders more time to review solicitation materials.

Garg Group targets five directors for removal

The Garg Group, which includes Vishal Garg and other participants in his solicitation, has filed a definitive consent solicitation statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission seeking to oust Daniel Lewis, Arnaud Massenet, Bhaskar Menon, Prabhu Narasimhan and Harit Talwar from Better's board. The group states the removals are intended to reverse what it calls value-destructive actions, restore the company's cost transformation strategy, and initiate a search for a long-term CEO.

Court rejects Better's bid to halt the consent process

Better's attempt to secure emergency injunctive relief in federal court to stop the consent solicitation was rejected, according to the Garg Group. Both Better's own counsel and the Delaware Court of Chancery have confirmed that signing and delivering a GREEN consent card in support of the Garg Group will not trigger the company's recently adopted poison pill.

Stockholders urged to submit GREEN consent cards

The Garg Group is encouraging stockholders to sign, date and return the GREEN consent card, many of which have already been distributed, including via UPS. The group states it is working to secure the remaining consents required to complete the solicitation process and will update stockholders on significant developments as they occur.
